I will use this site to help explain about the history of the Indians and provide background on the Indian People. It will help to set a base for the history. This case was important and will be able to help the reader understand where the Native Americans are coming from better.

Thus far on the research paper I have picked my topic which is Native Americans and to bring the environment aspect into my paper I am going to write about the hunting regulations that exist on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation. I go there every year to fish, but hunting is what most people want to do there. More trophy elk come out of that area than any other area of its size in North America. I have heard many times people say from my hometown "Why can't us white folk hunt on that reservation without paying an arm and a leg?"
As far as research goes, I have researched mainly about the history of Indian Reservations and how they came into being. I have researched about the Trail of Tears and why the Indians were treated as they were. I have done some research, but not much, on the actual history of the hunting on the Apache Indian Reservation.
I plan on doing a history of the Indians and how they were treated in the past, mainly in the 1800's. This will show how they became sovereign areas and were able to make their own laws. Then I will show how this happened all across the united States. Then i will show that The Indian Tribe passed its own laws on the hunting in its territory and charged a lot of money to do so. Then I will end by saying how this affects and affected the environment and teh people around that area. I am a big procrastinator and have not done as much research as I should have at this point. I plan on using many sources and researching more.

Our group chose to focus on the people that like excitement and the outdoors. We are going to focus on the activities available around the Provo area such as the ski resorts, the national parks, hot springs, hiking trails, and camping locations. We believe that these are the biggest attractions that BYU has to offer. we are also going to include the education because that is important too. Getting a good college education while still being able to do many outdoor activities is a great combination. The mountains and the scenery and what it offers are some of the greatest attractions BYU has to offer. We will include pictures and make it an attention grabbing brochure filled with excitement and adventure. The other audiences we could have focused on were the sports people, the honor code lovers, or the computer science groupies.

I have learned a lot about audience this semester. It is amazing how each part of the triangle affects the other two parts. By knowing the audience and who I want to focus on then I can change my message and voice to be persuasive to those kinds of people. The audience is why we write in the first place. We write so that someone will read it, and we want someone to read it to try and persuade them on some way of thinking. Knowing who is going to read it and what their way of thinking might be enables the author to adapt his writing to be the most persuasive as possible. This makes writing so much easier. In the future I will be able to write better papers because I will be able to know who I am writing my paper for. By adapting my writing style to specific people, it will take more affect on them. In my future classes I will be able to make stronger arguments because I will know what my message is and how I want to get that message across. Rhetoric is very important in every day of our lives, especially in the workplace. In the future, knowing who my audience is will enable me to be able to get a better job and hopefully make more money. The audience is the key. I don't talk the same to my grandparents as I do to my friends, so I wouldn't write about the same subject the same to two different audiences. The audience dictates how I want to present my message.
